MEET LEON

"Life Doesn't Get Better,
But We Get Stronger."

Leon is a proud Taiwanese-Immigrant Transgender Woman, a Feminist, a LGBTQ+ Advocate, and
a Body Positive Activist. Leon started her Human Rights Activism in high school, working with schools and institutions to spread awareness and practices of Equity and Inclusion.

Leon's Journey

"HAPPINESS IS NOT THE GOAL OF LIFE,
HAPPINESS IS A WAY OF LIFE."

Born in Taiwan,
Leon left at the age of 9 with her Mother and Brother to study as an International Student in Singapore and Malaysia.
Then at the age of 12, they came to Canada. Besides learning English as her second language, Leon also became aware of her sexuality and that she is attracted to the same sex. Leon came out and identified as a queer homosexual boy at the age of 13 years old. Then later in high school, at the age of 16, Leon finally came out as
a proud transgender woman.
Leon is now studying at University of Toronto Scarborough with a major in
Women's & Gender Studies, and minoring in
Creative Writing: Poetry.
Beyond her academic learning, Leon is a dedicated student leader and activist working in various roles on campus.
